Introduction

Content Production refers to a series of steps involved in creating a digital version of a source image. The source may be a transparency or film from a camera, a direct capture digital image, or an artist's painting or print that needs to be photographed as a first step in the production process.

Film needs to be scanned in order to create the digital representation of an image. The digital image is then uploaded into the Cinemage system for viewing, downloading, and printing or further processing. The service it is included in determines what e-commerse transactions are allowed for the image.

In order to allow the image to be found by a potential viewer, and to subsequently communicate information to the viewer, the image then needs to be catalogued. See the adjacent image as an illustration.

Descriptive information can also be entered for each image. Several languages, including Chinese, are supported for descriptive narratives.
