The ASA has one master copy of the Cinemage system operating in Calgary. Their member institutions can load up their materials to the Calgary installation and then add data, delete data, etcetera, from their local offices. They don’t each have to buy their own copy of the software to do this. The ASA represents a diverse number of archival holdings, inclusing five university archives, the city archives of Edmonton and Calgary, the Alberta Provincial Archives, and the archives of the elite Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry.
While it is up to each archival institution to determine the level of public access to its material, the Cinemage system can provide the user with everything from easy search capability to access to text, audio and visual components.
The ASA contract includes a Cinemage System Software package, system installation and configuration, a media server for audio and visual capabilities, and software maintenance and support for three years.
Here's what they had to say:
| "The company, through its cutting-edge Cinemage software,
has worked closely with us to customize applications to fit our network
needs. They have gone out of their way to learn the particulars of archival
standards and specifications."

|
| "We are happy with the product. Cinemage worked with
us in helping us to understand the system and how to utilize its potential.
We would recommend the ACT Cinemage Group to others."
